What Robert Teaches Us

I'm gonna go ahead and say what everyone has been thinking: Yes, Robert gets his movie-star good looks from me and Cory. Of course he does. Thank you for noticing.

Isn't it obvious?
He totally has Cory's....ears?

Nevertheless, life with our biggest kid is a constant...adventure. I'll leave it at that. :)

He teaches us stuff all the time, and not just important things like how to take a proper selfie or how to char tortillas on the "eye" of the stove-top.

Some of what we have learned through loving and parenting him are straight-up game-changers. I'm talking about one of those things today over at (in)courage.

  1. He is so darn handsome...but he has a weird shiny spot on his tongue. He should get that looked at! It could be serious!

  2. Thankful for the "adventures" God walks us through - although there are times when I feel like my family has had one too many "adventures" and I want a break. But that is when God really shows Himself isn't it?

  3. I've been thinking about you and your big boy.....especially since we are loving on a 20 year old for the summer. As hard as I try, I find my heart feeling fuller by the day which means I'll have to go through the hurt when he leaves. He has been such a blessing to our family and as you have discovered - everything that's different about him has taught me so much more then I could ever learn without him. Love you Friend!

  4. He sure is a handsome guy. It's hard sometimes to let go and receive help. We think we should be able to take care of things on our own. I like the comparison of being able to accept help from others so we can accept help from God. If we would only hand things over to Him in the first place.
