My LBD

Happy Anniversary to the first-string love-of-my-fashion-life.

If it were up to me, I would don you daily.

And often, I do.

You layer up right nicely.

You accessorize well with Santitas.

With a strategically (mis)placed cardigan, you become wearable Boggle.

You are the perfect grey.

I still haven't figured out which STATE you hail from, but when I do, I'm totally moving.

I love you more than the day you arrived in the post.

You are soft and thickish, mysterious and long-enough.

You are, quite possibly, the best $10 I've ever spent.

  1. Ahh the famous grey (gray) tee! I love it! You make it so dang cute, I want to get one!!If I ever become computer saavy I will email you a picture of the cream "morning" jacket. I also have a pretty ratty old man cardigan that I wear all winter over everything! It is worth all the change it cost me!

  4. I don't care what anyone says, seriously you could wear that shirt everyday, and you would still be just so darn cute! You smile makes that grey look bright, shiny, sunshine yellow! : ) That red paid shirt is pretty cute too! Love the last picture. Your kids are so cute. Would love to see more of that sweet curly, pomp pomp girly! Too cute for words.

  7. Girl, I knew I liked you from the first post I read of yours, but now I REALLY like you. We have the same favorite t-shirt!

PS: If you don't have time to wash it and can't live without it, just just flip it inside out and you still have the dark blue letters. They go all the way through! :) Of course, they'll be backwards, but that's just a small detail... ONE MORE WEARING! :)

  9. Ha! I love it! I went out to dinner and a movie with a couple of my dearest friends tonight, and somehow the topic shifted to our favorite t-shirts that we gravitate towards over and over again. We all agreed that the *perfect t-shirt* was totally worth wearing ALL the time!

  14. My goodness, I was just telling my fiance recently that I am not a t-shirt girl. But your post, well, it's a seller. I think I've been converted. How sweet...not sure what state it's from but willing to go there. How cute. Have a lovely day ~ xox Alexandra

  18. Long enough! That's a biggie isn't it? I'm not even tall, but it seems so darn hard to find a good t-shirt that is long enough to maintain belly coverage at all times when wearing low rise jeans.
Love how versatile you are with your lovely state shirt. I'll have to take some notes, as I live in t-shirts, just not at all creatively.

  19. Yes yes your STATE shirt is fabulous and super comfy looking. I'm envious, for sure.

  22. In reference to picture #5: My daughter Maddie asked, "What is she doing? Making a bed...in the hall?" She's one to talk. She's been wearing the same tie died t-shirt she got for Beiger Math Bowl in 6th grade. She's a freshman now. We had an intervention this summer after seeing her wear it, like three days in a row, and it got a hole in the armpit. I chased her around threatening to make the hole bigger with my finger trapped up in that hole. I almost lost that finger holding on for dear life. Not that this is really the same thing as your t-shirt. She never really accessorized hers with chips or cute little boys.

  24. My old stand by is an old gray "GAP" tshirt. Still loving it after 13 or 14 years. I must admit, I did pay full price for it, don't remember how much but it wasn't on sale...

  25. you crack me up. And hey if you are going to try and board the 'classic movie bandwagon' I don't suggest the one I put on my site for classic virgins. Start with AN Affair to Remember for a romance. You'd probably Love (since I know you so well and all) Mr. Hobbs Takes A Vacation. It's funny and family, what's not to love? Go rent it!! And let me know what you think!

  26. oh my gosh, I want a comfy gray tee like that! (Oh, and I want it to look on me like it does on you. lol) Too many bulges, I'm afraid!!

    so cute.

  27. The picture with you holding the bag of chips? That was the post that was up the day I found your blog. I saw the picture and thought, oh Santitas, we eat those, how bad could this girl be? I think I'll follow her. and I was intrigued by your grocery list...

  28. I love clothes like that, that make me feel complete and beautiful. My fav is a goodwill shirt from sacks that is a yellow snap cowboy shirt. At the time I thought it was such an oxymoron that I had to have it. My son borrowed it until he outgrew it, then it came home to mama! It's going on 10 years old and I still love it.

  29. I have an old hoodie that I feel the same way about. I know the mister rolls his eyes when I pull it out each year but it's just the right weight. Never been able to duplicate it. Patty

  34. This cracks me up - LOVE it! I must say though - it's a good thing that it says STATE and not something where that A was an I - that would be embarassing with a cardigan over it! Ha ha!
