Ruby's Prayer

My kids argue over who gets to pray before we eat. I have to always keep track of who's turn it is. Currently, Ruby prays this exact prayer for every meal and before bed each night:

Thank you for Mommy and Daddy and Calvin and me and Silas to come home pretty soom but Silas is already home.
In Jesus A-Men!

This is the prayer she has prayed for as long as I can remember, with one slight modification to reflect recent changes in the house.

She is such a stinking smoocher.

  6. How totally sweet and innocent! I love it. And not one word to bless the food..hehe! I'm sure that Jesus just smiles so pleasantly as he listens...how he loves the innocence of kids!

  7. That is so cute. There is nothing on this earth like hearing my little guy pray. I hope someday it will become something more, but for now... it's just so sweet. Thanks for sharing!

  8. :) Too cute. I wondered how long it would take before she or Little C would change the direction or words in their prayers? And that she has done, if only by a few words ;)
I can't wait to come and visit again. Mom and dad can't stop talking about Silas and his love for food.
