Sneak Preview

We're still on Christmas vacation - just in case you wondered. We are currently in the "Revolving Door" phase of our vacation, in which one batch of overnight guest gives way to the next with mere hours separating them. I'm a towel and sheet washing fool.

We're trying to polish off the remnant Christmas cookies.
We keep forgetting what day of the week it is.
Calvin is at a sleep-over at Nana's house.

Ruby is playing with her Polly Pockets and has been singing "Blue is My Favorite" for the past 15 minutes straight. It's a song with just one line - Blue is my favorite. She tends to compose her songs using a very spare approach.

Cory has been hard at work on Silas's/Silas' room.

It may not look like much yet, but squint your eyes until they're nearly closed and wish away the sub-flooring and the large power tools and you might begin to see the vision I have for the room.

And don't you worry your pretty little heads - I'll be sure to keep you posted on the progress.

  1. Looking good! Let the teacher in me go on record saying, Silas' room is correct. I love that you worry about things like that since I do too! If it were a one syllable name then you would do it the other way. So excited for you to pick him up and meet the little guy. Glad you had a great Christmas. Ours was nice too, and I'm enjoying the time at home.

  5. Oh, loving the board and batten. And yes, I can easily see past the tools and subfloor. Looking forward to seeing the results, but I'm sure the room will be just perfect for him.

I also totally understand the revolving door and the laundry. We have that happening here too. Tonight we have a break until new guests on Tuesday. Enjoy your week!
