Little Girl Wall Art

A few years back, I stumbled upon these beauts. I was so drawn to their unique colors and shapes and I especially fell for the rows of buttons still lined up straight on their original button cards. Their painted finish had flaked a little over time, which made them even more imperfectly perfect.

I had no idea what I would do with them, but that is nothing new. I'm of the belief that if you really love something (and have the cash to pay for it) you should grab it up! Then, stash it away until you have that Aha! moment.

Don't worry, it will come.

Here's my Aha! solution.

All it required was a hot glue gun and a chipped up frame. I used a brown paper sack for the backing. Forgotten and found buttons as little girl wall art.

And best of all, I didn't have to break up their happy little families.

  1. I love those! What a great idea. The frames are just perfect...I wonder if those were lying around just waiting for an aha! moment or if the buttons compelled you to go out and find them a perfect home. Or, oh my gosh, did you make those? Very sweet and and perfect for your cute little girl...

  5. Glad you're feeling better--Better enough to be crafty, yes? ;) I LOVE THIS CREATION of yours. So darn cute--love it, love it, love it. I, too, have a random closet filled with random items that will someday be something crafty and clever and house worthy. I enjoy seeing a kindred spirit actually getting it done! Fantastico!

  8. Hey Shannon -- Love the buttons! Great frames, too. So happy to hear that you'll be coming to Kane in October. Yes, we'll be there -- we're in the main building (where the kitchen is). Are you coming to Springfield? Hope so! We leave this afternoon. xo
