Trippin'

Cory has been in DC for most of the week. I think he has to travel a sum total of 2 times per year, and every time he goes, we all get a little whiny about it.

Do wives with husbands who frequently travel ever get used to it?

Calvin asked tonight to sleep with Daddy's pillow and then giggled when he realized that it really did smell like Daddy. Ruby woke up from her nap saying, "I want my Daddy!"

Good news is, he comes home tomorrow night.

In the meantime, I've been drowning my sorrow in this fabulous new book and eating cereal in bed at 11:00 p.m.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

  1. I feel your pain. For me, it never gets any easier. Be glad its only 2x a yr and not 2x a month like me. But your book looks really fun! Have you ever tried popcorn and m&ms? Its a yummy combo. And even better with a cherry coke. (total junk) :) Please don't tell me you were eating healthy flax cereal or something. Please at least say it was fruit loops or cocoa puffs....

  2. My little boy snuggles with Daddy's blanket when he's away, too. So sweet!

  6. I just happened to go to the blog I was always going to start and seen your comment. My shop is no longer open there, my sister and I have been looking for a new site. I have been doing shows up in Allegan, but miss having my own place. Thanks for trying to find me, I'm so happy I found your blog, I read everyday. My choice is Bran - healthy,- not after three bowls in a row. lol

  7. Never fun when my dh is away, which is not as often as it used to be. Not sure who finds it hardest - me or the kids.

Who needs a book in bed - I brought my laptop and got caught up on my blog reader!

My post with the maps is up :)

    Thanks again for the inspiration.
