Springfield Extravaganza

I was MIA for a few days, but it was for a good cause. Friday was day #1 of the first Extravaganza of the season. I had no choice but to drop everything and hightail it down there.

This is one of my favorite booths, year after year. Look at all of that metal! Look at all of that green!

I've always been intrigued by headless, armless torsos.

Want. Everything. In. This. Picture.

Crusty, rusty iron is the perfect counterpoint to a lush topiary. And check out those perfectly faded globes in the background.

This is my second favorite booth, although they've gone a little color crazy there. I still love it all, but I don't think I'm ready for a lemon-yellow sap bucket.

Or a lime green bee skep. That turquoise one in the background? An entirely different story...

Isn't this the best idea? I'll have Cory get right on that.

This was already sold, and for $500 it was never meant to be for me, but still I wondered, what does the buyer have planned for this? Beautiful!

I found this stand just as we were leaving. I cannot tell you how much I love peach cobbler. I've never had Kentuckian cobbler, but I imagine they do it up right. Dang it if I wasn't already full of the following: one third of a bucket-o-fries, drenched in vinegar, ketchup on the side; one "kraut dog" with mustard; one bottle of iced tea. Can we still be friends?

Wanna see what I found? Stay tuned...
